Arsenal fans will not like to admit it, but Emile Smith Rowe could be on his way out of Arsenal this summer. The Hale End graduate has fallen out of favour in the Arsenal starting lineup and with new arrivals expected before the end of the summer transfer window, it’s even more unlikely that Smith Rowe will find his way back into the lineup next summer.

According to a report from Standard, Arsenal have rejected an offer from Fulham to sign Emile Smith Rowe on a permanent deal. However, it is believed the club will still listen to offers for the Englishman and Fulham are expected to submit a revised offer.

With that being said, here are the three Arsenal players who would benefit most from Emile Smith Rowe being sold this summer…

1. Fabio Vieira

Given that Mohamed Elneny has already left Arsenal, this likely means that not many other midfield departures will happen. Therefore, with Emile Smith Rowe on his way out of Arsenal this summer, it lessens the likelihood that Fabio Vieira will also be sold.

However, for Fabio Vieira, next season could be last-chance-saloon. The Portugal international did not have a great 2023/24 campaign and given the expectation set of him, he has to prove his worth to Mikel Arteta next season.

2. Ethan Nwaneri

From one exciting Hale End graduate to another, Ethan Nwaneri is widely considered to be the next big thing at Arsenal. Having already made his debut and being the youngest Arsenal player in Premier League history, Nwaneri is set to benefit from Emile Smith Rowe’s departure.

Ethan Nwaneri would be upgraded to play the super-sub role which Emile Smith Rowe tried (but failed) to fulfil last season. Showing elite levels of composure in tight spaces and a maturity ahead of his time, Nwaneri could certainly benefit from some increased minutes to prove himself.

3. Jorginho

Jorginho recently signed a contract extension to stay at Arsenal, which likely shows that Mikel Arteta has big plans to implement his composure in the midfield more often in 2024/25.

Indeed, with Mohamed Elneny leaving the club and Emile Smith Rowe likely to follow suit, this only boosts Jorginho’s place in the pecking order. While he plays a deeper role than Smith Rowe, Jorginho is a midfielder who has the capability of providing attacking order, so he can fulfil the Smith Rowe role.

Do you think Arsenal will stick or twist with Emile Smith Rowe?
