Bayern Munich stars close to getting call-ups to French national team – Bayern Strikes

France will undergo several changes in the squad after getting knocked out of Euro 2024 in the semi-final against Spain. Didier Deschamps remains the head coach until 2026. The French head coach will look to bring in younger players into the squad, with two potential additions coming from Bayern Munich.

According to RMC, Deschamps is keeping a close eye on the development of four players, which include Bayern forwards Mathys Tel and Michael Olise. The list also includes Bayern target and Rennes winger Dsir Dou and Lyons Rayan Cherki. Deschamps can hand these four players a call-up to the senior team during the first international break of the season in September.

Tel is set for a big season at Bayern. The youngster excelled under Thomas Tuchel as a super-sub last season. However, he needs to get adequate game time next season to take the next step in his development.

The former Rennes forward was linked with a move away from Bayern midway through the season. However, Bayern chiefs convinced him to stay and extended his contract. Tel is part of Die Rotens long-term plans. He will hope to play regularly under Vincent Kompany next season. The 19-year-old forward will look to make a good impression during pre-season and start the season strongly to get a call-up for the French squad.

Meanwhile, Olise has already done enough to get a call-up for France. He was exceptional for Crystal Palace last season despite playing only 19 league games due to injuries. Olise will get to showcase his talent in the Champions League next season since he completed a move to Bayern last weekend.

Olise will play for France at the Olympics later this month. A good string of performances at the Olympics and a strong start to the season with Bayern will help Olises cause of getting his maiden call-up under Deschamps.

Dou may also end up playing for Bayern next season. The Bavarian club had the first bid rejected by Rennes for the young winger. Die Roten will return with an improved offer as they consider Dou a top transfer target for this summer.

Meanwhile, Kingsley Coman has poured cold water on the speculation about his future with the French team. He was reportedly considering retirement from international football. However, a spokesperson from Comans camp told Bild that he will continue to play for France despite not getting adequate game time at the Euro.
