Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, Champions League, you name it, Benjamin Pavard won everything you could ever ask for during his time at Bayern Munich.

And he did it in style, never making less than 36 appearances in a season while being a regular part of Didier Deschamps France squad.

With Inter Milan already crowned as Serie A champions with five matches to go, the Nerazzurri have become a favorite of soccer bettors on sites like betPARX, where new users can claim a welcome bonus offer using the betPARX promo code.

But, despite all the individual and team success, Pavard just wasn’t all that happy on the pitch during his time in Bavaria.

The reason? He always felt he was playing the wrong position.

The French international was a great right-back for the German giants. He was arguably one of the best in the world, but it was at center back where Pavard felt he truly belonged.

So, the former Stuttgart player decided to let his contract run out in the summer of 2023 in search of a team that would let him play in his preferred spot on the pitch.

That team would end up being Inter Milan, and the results have been nothing short of extraordinary.

While a dislocated kneecap ended up costing him almost two months between early November and late December, Pavard has been an integral part of Inter’s back three when healthy and has been a lock in the squad for months now.

As a versatile defender who is strong in the air and on the ground, is an elite passer out of the back, and has years of experience going head-to-head against some of the world’s best (and holding his own), including Mbappe and Neymar,

How Benjamin Pavard Become An Inter Milan Pillar

Pavard is simply a defender with very few obvious weaknesses, that has made him a staple for club and country for over half a decade now.

In Milan, the team has been in scintillating form with Pavard on the pitch, even if he isn’t putting up monster stats.

Since joining Inter, they’ve lost just two games with him playing, including only one in the league. All this to say, the 2018 World Cup winner has proved himself a massive asset in Italy who fits Milan’s playstyle to a tee.

The best part is, he’s having a great time while doing it, which is especially nice to see considering he talked openly about dealing with depression during the 2020 COVID lockdowns.

“I play in a back three at Inter and have the opportunity to feature as a central defender. I take everything there is to take. Therefore, I am very happy,” said Pavard.

“I discovered a marvelous country where the fans are incredible. The passion of the fans in Italy is incredible, it’s wonderful for me to be playing in Italy.”

Luckily, Pavard won’t have to worry about leaving any time soon if he doesn’t want to.

The 2019-20 Bundesliga team of the season member is signed through 2028 on a five-year deal worth €30 million, which could rise to €32 million with add-ons.
