Adrien Rabiot transfer ‘worry’ emerges after Liverpool links to France midfielder – Liverpool.com

French midfielder Adrien Rabiot has left former club Juventus in limbo following the expiry of his contract, with the Turin-based outfit yet to hear from the 29-year-old over whether he will accept their offer of a new deal.

Rabiot is now officially a free agent after his contract came to an end on June 30, although Juventus is keen to retain his services ahead of the new campaign. The Serie A giants reportedly tabled a two-year deal – with the option for a third – worth $8.1million (£6.3million/€7.5million) per season, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

However, they are yet to hear back from the midfielder and there is now growing concern at the club over where his future lies. Rabiot has been keen to avoid any talk of his next move whilst competing at Euro 2024 with France, although he will now be expected to break his silence following the end of the tournament.

Rabiot started five of France’s six games as they made it to the semi-finals of the competition, losing 2-1 to eventual winners Spain in the semi-finals last Tuesday. When questioned over his future, he often stated that he didn’t wish to address any rumors, instead choosing to focus fully on the tournament in Germany.

Now, however, there is growing fears at Juventus that the midfielder will not renew his contract as a result of his silence. It comes amid reported interest from multiple clubs, including AC Milan, Real Madrid, Galatasaray, AS Roma and Liverpool, with the new season now just a matter of weeks away.

Liverpool revitalized its midfield last summer with the additions of Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch, while the likes of Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott also remain on the books. But with new boss Arne Slot now taking over the reins, he may want his own additions in the squad.

Reports have suggested that the midfielder wants a move to Real Madrid, while others have claimed his mother Veronique – who also acts as his agent – has offered her son’s services to Barcelona.

Earlier this month, a new report suggested a move to Galatasaray might be an option. Turkish outlet Fanatik claimed the Istanbul club has accepted Rabiot’s contract demands, and is now pushing for him to make the move to the Super Lig champions.

As for Liverpool, Rabiot has previously revealed he grew up as a Reds fan, having idolized one of the clubs greatest players. But as with any other summer transfer window, the Frenchman has once again been linked with a move to Anfield, so it would be no surprise if he doesn’t end up playing on Merseyside come the end of August.
