Presnel Kimpembe hasn’t played for PSG for almost a year and a half. This Thursday, the Parisian youth product participated in part of the team’s collective training.
After suffering an Achilles tendon rupture in February 2023, Presnel Kimpembe had to undergo surgery a few days later. Nearly a year after his operation, the PSG youth product had to undergo surgery again on the same Achilles tendon.
As he nears a season without playing, good news emerged this Thursday at the Campus of Poissy. According to Le Parisien, PSG’s number 3 took part in some of the day’s collective training and participated in a few exercises before leaving his teammates to continue training individually.
The Parisian newspaper reports that this is a surprise since the player, trained at PSG, is somewhat ahead of schedule in his recovery protocol.

Even though he is getting closer to returning to the field, it does not mean he will be included in PSG’s squad for the Coupe de France final against Lyon on Saturday in Lille, according to Le Parisien.
The newspaper states that the training sessions since Tuesday evening have been of good quality. “It seems that the break and rest days granted to Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, and Donnarumma, as well as those given to Warren Zaire-Emery and Achraf Hakimi in the middle of last week, have done a lot of good.” PSG’s players will head to Lille tomorrow.
They will have a final training session on the pitch at Decathlon Arena starting at 4:45 PM, 45 minutes after the press conference with Luis Enrique and Marquinhos. To try to win their fifteenth Coupe de France, PSG will be able to count on 16,000 supporters present at the Lille venue.
