At this point, there have been plenty of reports suggesting that Bayern Munich want to offload veteran Kingsley Coman, who has been at the club for nearly a decade. But it does not seem to be an easy task, as the player’s current salary in Munich outstrips anything the vast majority of clubs are willing to pay. If a move is to materialize, Coman needs to accept a pay cut or he needs to move to one of perhaps a dozen clubs who can afford these wages. It seems that a certain club was hoping the former Juventus player would opt for the former, though, according to Florian Plettenberg.

His report reads like this, as captured by @iMiaSanMia:

Fenerbahçe have made further attempts for Kingsley Coman in the past few days. The player has rejected all enquiries from the Turkish club as he has other plans

The Turkish giants have recently appointed a certain infamous José Mourinho to be their head coach and, if this report is to be believed, it seems that the “Special One” has not lost a lick of ambition on the transfer market. However, after playing a key role for some of the best teams in the world, consistently competing at the of European football, would Coman really move to a club that has not yet secured their qualification for the 2024/25 Champions League season? And would he accept the kind of pay cut that would allow him to fit into Fenerbahçe’s comparatively modest wage structure? It seems very, very unlikely that Coman would ever consider the club’s advances.
